The update... I tried to feed him last night but he was just too down from the shot I guess. His poop this morning was dark almost black. So I took him to work with me to show another vet later. All day he was just fine making noises and all. But dark poop scared me. Reached vet in the evening and showed him the old report and the medicine I got for oral use. He said this is what he would have given too. The loss of appetite, and the dark poop is normal cause of the antibiotics he got. Is tired and sleeping now. Also, the vet gave me some vitamins and mineral/electrolyte supplement and told to ad a tiny ammount with the antibiotics dose to help him in case he does not eat for a while. The good news.. Sneezing is completely gone! Thank God and all of you too! Now lets hope he starts eating soon too.

The lady at the vet told me to place pellets on a mirror and have the bird stand on it. Competetion for food will get it going... Try it, may work.

I live in the Emirates, exstreemely sunny and hot here. But my apartment gets no sun light at all. I am not using any UV lighting, but was thinking of it. The company I work for is the agent of OSRAM as well, I get a goood discount!B)

Today I found Harrisons in Dubai. I was gonna have it shipped from US but wanted to see what it was like first. So I bought the 5 lb bag. Got it home and offered it to my CAG and he did not like it at first just broke the pallets into half and left them. Was more intterested in the seed mix I had mixed with it. Then I thought of an idea and added some hot water to the pallets and made kind of a paste. HE LOVED IT. And now he is having the thing. I dunno if anyone has had their bird switch so fast!! He is a good bird when it comes to eating. He loves apple and corn so much he leaves the sunflower seeds and has them first!

Okay.. here is the update. Took him to the vet today. He got a shot and poop examined and also crop swab tested and nasal thing inside the beak tested for mucus. The funny thing is today his beak was totally dry. :pinch: He also got a shot of some antibiotic. BUT... the doc said it is not a guaranteed thing. (?) Throughout the drive he was sneezing very very little. Was just staring out the window and was fine. After the vet visit a litter low, but thats due to anesthesia I guess. Came home just now, fed him Exact (about 20 ml) and will continue on Baytrill for 7 days.

Anyways, I sit at my evening which is morning there (you at work)maybe weekends, but even our weekends only have Saturday common. ... and that guy DOES look like a turkey LMAO! yes, Judy he is warm and even playing exploring. Even took a bite from his food bowl just now that was nice. Just the sneez worries me a lot. I am staying up tonight. Gotta go to work in 4 hours then I will take time off and go with him to vet from work.

My Amazon is sneezing a lot. In the afternoon today there was water from his beak as well. it was slightly moist. But the nostrils were dry... but the beak. That too was dry when I fed him an hour ago. I am going to the vet in the afternoon tomorrow that is in about 14 hours time. Anything I can do in the mean time. Keeping him warm for now. My home is always without an AC or anything.
