So over the holidays we got together with friends and friends of friends. Well one gentlemen (who had a bit too much to drink) began to tell us about a friend of his who also owned an African grey. Well as the stories continued I became more and more angry learning how this poor animal was treated. Apparently it leaved in a large dog cage in a basement....He then continued to joke how the bird was "evil." It would snap at the cage door and scream constantly he said, with the birds owner then using a hockey stick to smack the cage to "shut it up." He said the owner specifically had the hockey stick for that purpose. No wonder the poor bird screamed and was so upset! It lived in darkness! In a dog crate! With a terrible owner! My husband was squeezing my hand secretly the whole time because he knew I was getting more and more angry and I'm definitely not one to stand down when it comes to animals. So of course I pipe up with a horrified look on my face saying how awful that is. The guy telling the story definitely knew I didn't think his stories were funny. "Yeah but it was an evil bird who bite everyone".......yeah I wonder why?!!? Sadly the bird died in a house fire he said....again I can't even imagine. I'm sorry but if my house was on fire and Sully was inside, I'd need to be pinned to the ground because I'd be racing right back in to save him. I don't understand people sometimes....Sorry just needed to vent

Sully here and I have one thing to say, absolutely NO hats in my house! Don't even come near me if you're wearing one on your head! Take it off or I'll take off! Oh and the little buttons on your controllers? Yeah I don't think they below there and will definitely be working on removing those lol

It sickens me beyond belief how some people are capable to hurting animals. My heart goes out to the poor family. I can't even imagine how they are feeling. I would lose my mind and probably be arrested...so so sad

Oh awesome thanks! Definitely need to try something like that! He had a smaller metal one with card board and stripes of paper inside but he manage to break that one too! You would think that these toys would be built to with stand some abuse considering they are built for parrots! I did send pictures to the company where I purchased the plastic one he broke and did get a refund It specifically said "African Greys" so I expected it to last longer than 24 hours!

Haha that's exactly what he said! He has a bit of a potty mouth but his timing is what gets me lol

Sully is kind of potty trained lol His hanging ball perch is beside the couch. Whenever he would go poop we would say "go poop" or "take a big s**t." Now I'd say 75% of the time he will say "go poop" or "take a big s**t" just before he needs to go or before we pick him up to come on the couch we say "Go poop" and he does his little thing and does his business. Of course he does still use the bathroom on things from time to time, but I know roughly how often he needs to go and his little dance before hand so I put him back on the perch, "go poop", bam! And he's ready to go lol otherwise sometimes when you gotta go...you gotta go!

Aw that's adorable!

Sully LOVES the console controllers in our living room. I was watching TV the other day with the controller was sitting next to me and in front of my dog. Well Sully decided he wanted it and I got a good laugh from him. You can see my dog watching him ever so patiently at the bottom of the screen by the controller lol

So friggin cute We've been trying to get Sully to say festive-y stuff all last month. Best we got was "Ho Ho Ho Merry! Ho Ho Ho Merry! Merry!" It's funny none the less lol Happy New year!

Aw so cute! I have to blow my pc out so often because of all the dust from Sully. You're brave letting him so close to your laptop! lol Sully is allowed to climb around my chair but not on my desk (I've been through one too many keyboards and mice!). He does make a mad dash down my arm and onto the desk when given the chance but rolls right over onto his back so it's turned into a game. Dorian looks quite cozy there! lol

Yesterday was Sully's 3rd birthday Time flies!

Sully wanted nothing to do with the pumpkin lol He backed right away saying "It's okay, it's okay" and wouldn't get close to it. We'll try again next year I guess lol

I would love to try this with Sully! Can he go at the whole pumpkin? Skin and all?
