Right now he wont let me touch him or anything, he will try to bite. But i'm sure it will get better, i'll let him show the signs for when he is ready

Hello! As some of you know I had posted earlier saying that i'll be adopting a 8 y/o Congo Grey named Tony Last night Tony moved into my house, however he was terrified because he was separated from his owner that he was with for the past 8 years.. and on top of that a completely new house and people. He has a bit of his feathers missing in his neck due to him fighting constantly with a Dominant Eclectus male in his previous home, so I think he will slowly be happier being here. Since it was night time I immediately set everything up and let him go to sleep so he would relax as he went through something dramatic that night moving into my place. So today is morning time and he's a lot more relax now, he has a very mellow personality and doesn't make much noise, I think it is also associated with him being socialized a lot from birth. In the morning he rings his bell so that I let him out so he can chill on his cage hehe. This is actually my first pet however I work at home and have lots of free time to spend tons and tons of time with him + researching about him. Here is a picture of Tony:

Ops, I'm very sorry; I had typed on my phone. He basically just makes a lot of wing flapping noise throughout the night, and I just worry that he may not be sleeping well because of the movement. Here is a picture! I just took it a minute ago

Hey guys I haven't yet posted a picture or updated you guys on the COG but I got an emergency question. I got him last night; I could hear him all night long as if he is itching himself a bit and flapping his wings if not .. It's something that makes similar noises, the owner did say he is molting right now (btw how long does that last for an 8 year old?) Does anyone know if he is ok? I couldn't look at night because I covered his cage -Edit .. Read my second post, sorry for the messy first post :{

Thank you for the input, that cleared it up! Would it be ok for a Grey to be on a High good fat diet mainly through seeds like the ones I mentioned in the original post ? (will get omegas/vitamins/calcium/protein) through them.

Hello, I'm going to have a COG very soon that I'm adopting. I would like to know of any toy recommendations that would last some time that could be bought on Amazon.com (I live in Hawaii and amazon is the only place that will ship for free) I'd also like to know of perches that could be set around the house/room for him to fly around or stand on. (I'm not clipping him & for now I'd like him to just fly around the house so he feels comfortable) I'm looking mainly for something that can hang on a wall with a nail but has a perch of some sort and the right depth so that he can stand on it. Any recommendations/suggestions would be great. Thank you!

I understand it is recommended to not feed too much fats for Greys however (for those that are into health) you know that healthy fats like Coconut oil Chia seeds Flax seeds Hemp seeds etc... are all good for you and you really don't have to limit the amount that you consume, just don't take it excessively and balance with other foods. I assume that this "fat" worrying is more due to how only a few years ago majority of us still didn't know about healthy fats/cholesterol and so it's been said for Greys to not consume fats, but with all this new research on how it's good for you; is this still true for parrots? So the question I have is; is these fats still bad for a Grey? Can he have a moderate amount of these type of fats in his diet without worry?
