I'm thinking it could be the haircut, since the timing seems to coincide with that change in his behavior. That, in addition to spring hormones could be contributory to his change. Just my thoughts.
I often find our marvelous greys, are so in tune with us, they only relax when we relax.
Found myself listening to David Foster the symphony sessions, “Water Fountain” in particular.
Sukei, went to sleep in my lap.
Like he knew I was finished, and we both just exhaled.
How blessed are we to have them.
Elvenking, I know how unbelievably difficult a decision this is for you. We've shared many joyful stories about our greys along with those that presented certain challenges.
My heart aches for you knowing that although you've given it your very best, that you weren't able to find harmony.
I am honored that you have placed your trust in me and are willing to share his little life with my family. There's a whole lot of activity going on around here each and every day! He'll have our giant aviary to soar around in and will have time to meet and great his new fid family. Maalik loves other birds , so I'm predicting that he and Casper will become the best of friends in time!
2-3 years ago, GreycieMae started doing this maneuver where she stands straight, lifts her head up and back and makes a sort of exhale noise. No idea where she got this but my wife picked up on it and now they will do their "center"ing together. "GreycieMae....center" is usually what my wife will tell her when they do it. We like to call it GreycieMae's calming yoga...for when she's not terrorizing the house. One needs to cool her jets you know!
I've always wanted to catch a picture of it and I just happened to get it today totally by accident. I was trying to snap a pic of her and Huey in the new aviary. I guess it was her "oh gosh, not the camera again" calming yoga moment
