They certainly are beautiful birds. How is your koi this fine day Dan? I hope he survived the experience. Though traumatic, the experience of seeing the magnificent egret in your backyard must have been wonderful.
What fantastic news Kathryn!!!! Vree is testing the waters, so to speak and is finding out that he is slowly be surely gaining strength. This is wonderful and I can't wait to hear more! Way to go Vree!!!
Are you painting your cage with parrot/bird safe paint? I would think it would have to be baked on or professionally done. I personally would just buy a new cage the color I wanted to be on the safe side. Please give us a little more information.
What does LP think of his great aunt taking care of Sterling? If LP agrees than I would say what a perfect and wonderful solution for everyone. The plus being that LP will get to see Sterling all he wants and perhaps when his life is less busy he can reclaim his friend in the distant future.

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2010/03/07 04:01
Looks like a mean looking paddle Jess!!!!  I like the idea of leather and beads and other little things in the present holes and drilling a hanging hole at the end. Yoshi should enjoy it!
So sorry to hear that you have lost your pattern and other info. But I have every faith that you will get back on track in no time. Can't wait to see and hear how things go now that you have all your materials. Just a few more days and Kopi will be with you. How excited you must be!
If your grey is aggressive towards your 6 year old, I would be very cautious and careful for your daughter's sake. Greys, well all birds, can have a vicious bite when nervous, afraid or just plain feel like it. Respect the fact that your grey isn't interested in being friendly with your small child. Give them both time to grow up and perhaps the attitude will change.
Jill you forgot to tell us what color you are using??? Did you consult Harvey on this choice??? You could be in lots of trouble without the proper consultation with the resident fid!!!!
What a wonderful tribute to your fids, Beau and Argyle, and to the Greyforums. You are a great asset to the forum Julie and I am so glad you joined the family. Your poetry is always marvelous, simply marvelous and you are a great friend to us all.
That is the greatest video Lyn. What a brave little guy to come right up to you. I bet you will earn even more trust as the days go on. Please keep us posted on your new friend and the progress you make with this new friendship.
I have tried chicken and turkey bones with my fids and they don't seem to care for it. But I know others birds seem to love the bones. Let us know how Yoshi likes the chicken bone.
What a lovely thing to do for Juno's brother. Karma to you for your generosity. You have a big heart Dee and I know you will give Kopi a wonderful forever home. Pictures please. I can't wait to hear more about your new family member.

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2010/03/06 05:09
Well at least your fids know how to entertain themselves and get the food on the table a little faster! That's the way it goes. In my house, dog first, fids next and then me somewhere down the line!!!!
Have the same problem with my Ana Grey. Wish I had put it on her during the winter but you know what they say about hindsight!!!!! Harvey certainly looks like he would like a piece of you Jill!!!!

Post edited by: luvparrots, at: 2010/03/06 01:27
