I understand what you are saying, but in my case, I let Talons wings grow out because she could only fly downward and land on the floor, where we have 2 cats ready to pounce. I keep her wings unclipped for her own safety. She always flies and lands up high where they can't get to her.
Hi & Welcome to our Family. We have a wealth of information here. Just look around and you'll find lots to read. We are happy to help with any questions you may have, so don't be afraid to ask.
How long have you had your grey? It might be he just needs time to adjust to his new home. We love pictures here, so please post some when you can.
He looks like a plucker, but the cause of that could be many reasons. A lot of the times, that can be cured, if it hasn't gone on too long. I would easily spend the $400 just to rescue that bird, I wouldn't care about the vet bills, he needs to be put in a loving home where he can get the care he needs. Thats all that matters to me.
Give the poor guy a chance....
Hi Steve, and Welcome to our family. You have a very pretty bird. She looks to be about the right size, but you do need a scale to weigh her. Please do take Judy & CD's advice and have a check up done. If nothing else, she needs her nails trimmed by a vet. It's very uncomfortable for them when their nails are too long. I'll bet her feet bother her somewhat. Please keep us posted, and I look forward to hearing more about you and Nikki!
But you lost your ticket in the washing machine, it's still in your pants pocket! :P
I want to never get old!!

Hi Rodney, and welcome here to our family. Dan is correct, many members have quite a variety of other birds here. Check out the Other Birds Room. You'll find this is a great place to learn, and a great place to enjoy some wonderful friends. Please keep us posted on what you decide, and we love to see pictures of you and your birds! :cheer: :cheer:
Judy gives good advice! Just watch out that she doesn't try and bite, Talon has done that on occasion. But be firm and don't let her win the battle! She'll learn very quickly to step up when you tell her to.
Nooey, What a terrible mistake. I'm so sorry for your heartache. Everything happens for a reason, and you were just meant to be the owner of a different bird. You will come to see that in the end, when your baby comes home and loves you just as much as you will love it. Good luck to you, and please don't stop posting just because you are in between birds. We enjoy you very much here. :cheer: :cheer:
