Elotemuygrande
Hey Guys, trying to figure out how to keep my little grey chicken from splashing water about and making a mess. Has anyone used the Lixit water bottles and did it work well? Are there any food dishes that would keep a bird from digging their food out onto the floor? I haven't seen any that fit in a parrot cage. Gracias
sue09
I haven't found any dishes that help, but what I do with Ollie is use a large baking sheet covered in cling film on the floor of his cage when I give him fresh food. Although he throws most of it out of his dish, it is caught on the tray and then I just lift the film and wrap all the discarded food. Keeps the bottom of the cage much cleaner. Hope that helps a little.
danmcq
The water bottles do work well. In regards throwing food about, thats what a parrot does. :-) My dogs pick up any food that hits outside the cage. The rest falls through the grate on the bottom. judygram
Yeah, whats the big problem, greys make messes, they throw food, water, toys and anything else they can get their talons on, accept it as part of grey ownership, you take the bad along with the good. :cheer:
she
Is he trying to have a bath in his water dish? If so make sure you mist him often.Greys are messy and we just accept that as part of their charm.
