Is she getting enough sleep?

Hello again...little Darwin is now 16 weeks old! Yay Darwin!

I have a quick question that has been a concern of mine since I brought Darwin home.

Is she sleeping enough? Here is the situation:

I put her to bed each night around 8, give or take a little but usually bang on. The two weekends she's been with me she's up a little later because she sleeps in longer.

So I shut all the lights off and say night night. It's very dark in my room and the house is quiet by 8:30. When I go to bed, usually around 10:30 - 11, she is usually asleep. However, she then wakes up 2-3 times during the night to eat, or stretch, or chat a little. I then wake her up in the morning and she is bright and cheery for most of the day. There are times, however, when I come upstairs to get her out and she is, as I call it, "chilling" - the classic one foot up, a little puffy, relaxed. She just spent 30 minutes sitting on a chair beside me doing this while I studied, at around 4:00pm. Is this normal or should she be going going going all day long?

Sorry....it might be a ridiculous question.

Thanks in advance

Cassandra

All birds nap during the day. Mine usually after breakfast and then around 3pm just before dinner. I think all birds do this in the wild they forage for food in the early morning before it gets to hot then they relax during the hous its very hot out then in the later part of the day when it starts to cool down they forage for food again before its time to roost for the night. don't woory your bird is doing just what its supposed to do.
