Joolesgreyuk
I'd just like to introduce myself. I'm very excited to be awaiting a special delivery of my first African Grey next Tues (7th April) after a lifetime of wanting one. I've had budgies & cockatiels before but never the elusive AG. I'm well read on the subject and now feel ready to give one a good home. I have found this site very informative and helpful and I look forward to exchanging information, advice and comments with you wherever you are. Joolesgreyuk
:woohoo: All these replies already, thanks guys! Beau (yes I've named him/her already) will be 15/16 weeks old when I get him next week. Is it right that you have to get a blood test done to sex the grey? If so I don't think I'll bother - I have a feeling it's male, not sure why though but yes I'm SO excited and have been awake a couple of nights with the expectancy of it all, like I said I've wanted one for a very long time. judygram
This is a very active forum, you usually don't have to wait long for replies, we pride ourselves on that. Beau is a nice name, would fit either sex and if it doesn't matter to you then why bother is right. They usually have to have a little drop of blood or some blood feathers to determine sex. Joolesgreyuk
As my user name suggests, I'm from the UK. "Never take life seriously, nobody gets out alive" is the slogan I was refering to.
judygram
You like that huh, it gets more appropriate the older I get, see I was having a senior moment, I should have known from your screen name that you were from the UK, what can I say:blush:  B)
