Is my baby too young?

I know I know... sounds like I'm complaining after waiting so long, I'm not. It's just that my baby boy is barely weaned... I made him a birdy omelette with veggies and fruit and applesauce and he's eating it pretty good but I can tell he'd would rather be fed. I tried giving him some food on a spoon and he looked at the spoon like it begat aliens that would chew his head off. LOL.

He is sweet and loving. I have to find an avian vet. I don't have a way to weigh him but I can feel his breastbone... is he supposed to be this thin?

I am going to do some more research on training because it's time to start getting him to learn to step up. :)

As soon as I'm able to make my pictures smaller I will upload them:)

More later!!!

Nice baby grey you have there. Thanks for sharing the photos. :-)

You really shold purchase a digital scale to weigh your Grey with atleast 2x a week to ensure it's not losing weight. One thing to expect though, is if your Grey has not fledged yet, it will start eating less on it's own naturally to make flight easier as he starts learning during the fledging process.

When they are that young tegular weighing is a must have. In fact a scale is something that all parrot owners should own.

It's very difficult to tell if they've lost weight by sheer appearance. By the time you can tell by appearance, the situation is pretty drastic. Prevention is the key. Here's a like of the one that I purchased. It does the job very well.;)

That scale is way to expensive and not nessesary I bought a digital food scale that weighs in grams and oz. for 30 dollars it weighs up to 10 ibs. and my birds stand right on the plate. This is a picture of my scale. your bird is absolutly beautiful by the way and you should be able to feel its breast bone but there shou be a good amount of musle on either side.
