My baby Echo stands on one foot alot is there any special meaning of that or is it just a normal thing birds do? I have a cockatiel and never seen him do that?

I've never known a grey that didn't do that. It means he's relaxed and just resting his foot. The smaller birds tend to not do it, but the larger parrots do. Just as the smaller birds tend to not hold their food by their foot.

Like Jim said, that is characteristic of the grey to stand on one foot to rest the other one, I guess I would too as they have a fairly heavy body to be held up so therefore they rest one from time to time, all normal.

Maybe you should read more of the threads here for there may be other things you will find out is normal for greys but thanks for being curious.

Oh that's perfectly normal.Alcazar does that all the time especailly at night he gets his beak grinding noise going and closes his eyes and sleeps w/one foot.

That is what Rexxy does on his treestand before bed, just like Toni's grey above. Not sure what he does in his cage, i never peak in and check under the cover.
