Carolyn
I add white vinegar to the cleaning off all Mika's toys and also his cage. It was recommended by the Avian vet. Carolyn & Mika
siobha9
If I am cleaning them to give them right back to the same bird I just use hot water. But if I wanted to switch them around to different birds which I do frequently I use Milton which is a steriliser for babies. I rinse all of it off before giving the toy to the the new bird however;)
Abernathy
I use vinegar and water and a small brush to clean my birds stuff. Works well for us.
Suzzique
I'm lazy and put the toys threw the dishwasher. But hot water and vinegar are a good way to go for stuff that you really can't run threw the dishwasher.
Tycos_mom
I use a steamer to clean all my birds toys and bars of their cages. what ever i can throuh in the bathtub I will and just use the shower head on pulsate and hose them down with really hot water i find it works great their dishes i put through the disk washer every night on the sani cycle so they are ready for the next day's use. masterid
I would like to suggest you clean it with hot water and if it is too much dirty then use little white vinegar in hot water. Don't use other chemicals. Toys are a key to the happiness of your bird. Finding the best ones are not always easy, and they do get expensive.Just be sure to sanitize/wash them well before passing them on to your Pets. Easy to do by running them through the dishwasher (unless you ARE the dishwasher of course.

Post edited by: Talon, at: 2008/10/13 15:
