Hawaiisheila
Would it be better to feed greys at a specific time each day or just better to leave food in his dish all the time?
Guest Monique
It would be best to give him one meal in the morning and one at night. Keep an eye on how much he eats and how much he weighs and adjust accordingly. He should have little to nothing left by his nighttime meal. We usually do the pellets in the morning and then a veggie mix at night (we are then home to take it out before it sits long enough to spoil at all). You can also get some foraging toys and hang some around his cage to occupy his mind and body a little bit during the day.
Shaz
Foraging for food is a good idea as it is one of the many things you can do to avoid your grey from getting bored. I bought a toy for mine with 3 balls on a lace with a bell at the bottom. I hid a peanut in the bottom ball and went to work. When I came back one of the balls and the bell has been ripped off and the peanut was no more. lol
