We just got this little guy into the store today. He's about 4 weeks old and will be coming home with me part of the week and home with Steph (my boss) the other part of the week.

What an adorable baby Berna, you do have the best job, how great is that you bring home the babies to feed and love on, my problem is I wouldn't want to give them up.

Thanks for sharing that cute little bugger with us.:)

oh I know! I just wished it paid better, but to tell you the truth I would do this job for free.

I'm going to be on pins and needles with this guy though. Greenwings are prone to infections and bacteria so I'm going to a disinfecting nut while he's here!:laugh:

Dukedevil - They just are. Same with the Hyacinth Macaws...very sensitive to sudamonus. Some birds are just more susceptible to things as others.

I get attached, believe me. I don't know how I don't fall apart when they sell. Well, I think I would be inconsolable if Ethel got sold or something happened to Pattie and Sasha.

I didn't know that greenwings and the hyacinth macaws are more susceptible to infections and such and they are the more expensive of the parrots and maybe that is why, they are beautiful but not for me, I admire from a safe distance.

You are so lucky to be able to help raise all the baby birds you do. Your knowledge is invaluable to the forum. We are so lucky. Please keep us informed on the Greenwing{Feel-good-000200BB}

That baby is sooooo cute. You have a great job but there is no way I could do it I'd want to keep them all. The people that buy them would get the 3rd degree and would have to be perfect parronts or they would not be walking out of the store with any bird I raised. Or any bird for that matter.I'd probubly be fired the first day. I'd be talking people out of buying birds and telling them to buy a nice kitten or a gold fish something thats easy to take care of.LOL

Karma to you for what you do.

HHAHAHAHA...I do give the 3rd degree!!! Thats probably why I have yet to sell a grey...no one is ever good enough for my baby greys!:laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

Here are some new pics I took of the baby the other day. I cant believe how big he is...he weighs 900g!!! Thats more than a Hyacinth baby would at his age!!! We all think he is going to be a FULL size Greenwing.
