Acappella Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Around here today it's a 2 for 1 special. An "oops" followed by "be right back" Guess I've been up and down the stairs alot, dropping things as I go!
Acappella Posted May 9, 2008 Author Posted May 9, 2008 Sorry, second half of that post was supposed to ask what are you hearing over and over again right now. Except for goldn1. I know at her house it's "oink, oink, oink, quack"
judygram Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 I keep hearing kissy, kissy and then smooching sounds.
siobha9 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Liath "What does the horsey say?" to which Oisin replies Click clock over and over and over and over.....
lovemyGreys Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008  You have a right double act going on there Siobhan
Lovelylew Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Siobhan, that's so funny - lol - I bet you get a kick out of that - lol
Acappella Posted May 9, 2008 Author Posted May 9, 2008 I sit here listening to Dorian and I can't imagine having multiples, all talking. Do they take turns or do they all talk at the same time?
Talon Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Talon continues to say, Bad bad bad bird, happy bird, bad bird, no talon! :pinch:
siobha9 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Debbie... it was very funny the first 5 or even 10 times, but now it is getting quite annoying especially since it is usually when I am in the middle of Desperate Housewives or something... Thank God for skyplus.... i can rewind it Usually they talk at the same time... well Oisin doesnt really talk much yet. He isnt even 1. He can say Hello Buddy, Hello Liath, How are ya and lots of different noises. Liath doesnt usually let him have a word in anyway. But he can laugh at the appropriate times and say Huh? so it sounds like conversations!
udannefitz Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 I had an amazon that while we were living in New York, started saying... "zippp.... bye". We realized he was making the sound of our jackets being zipped up as we left saying bye to him. He also perfected every squeak of the floor boards and door's opening just exactly as we started to walk or open the door. He would also yell, "What?" when I called down the stairs to the kids.
rbpittman Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Dixie's got her constant chatter, but Sterling has been on a Hello kick for the day....hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, and then hello. -- Robin
lovethatgrey Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Today Emma would scream out loud and when I would tell her to "pipe it down!" She'd say "Mommy loves me forever and ever. Seriously, what am to say after that? She said this all day.. no matter what I would say to her.
Acappella Posted July 12, 2009 Author Posted July 12, 2009 Here's the conversation today. Dorian: What cha doing? Me: Cleaning Dorian: What cha doing? Me: Cleaning Dorian: What cha dooooooing? Me: still cleaning long pause Dorian: What cha doing cleaning?
Azzie Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 After Cleo's 2 words a few weeks ago, she is still stuck on "quack quack quack".
Tycos_mom Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Adaya is 5 months old and has just learned the beep beep of the microwave and the clucking noise that you make with your toungue on the roof of your mouth so I hear a constant beep beep beep cluck cluck cluck Its just a little annoying after the first 1000 times
danmcq Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 LOL!! Well, we all wanted intelligent talking birds didn't we? I find around here that those never ending verbal loops of the same phrase or word depends on whats happening or just happened as in Acappella's case. I vacuumed the bird area yesterday and all I heard from the time I brought it out was "Vacuum, lets Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum, vacuum, lets vacuum Yeah!" over and over until I did something to get that damn broken record out of his brain.... I asked, you wanna take a Both? he shut right up for a while. Perhaps it's not so wise after all to describe every action your doing.

Post edited by: danmcq, at: 2009/07/12 15:01
Toni Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Right now Alcazar is saying.....Nope, don't do it, nope don't do it. He gets told this when he has food in his talon and he gets ready to throw it out of his cage.
slmclean Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 chloe loves saying pretty pretty bird all day and hello.beep squeek of the door ouch and dont bite her vocabulary is getting better every day.
Luvparrots Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Ana Grey has been doing the wolf whistle in different ways for the last 3 days. She adds kissing sounds after each new set of wolf whistles. Hopefully she will find the one she likes best soon. The wolf whistle has become her call sound!!!!
Raposa Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Jenna's most repeated phrase right now is "You want fresh water? Want fresh WATER!!!" But my favorite phrase of hers right now is "You're the best girl in the WHOLE world!" ~grin~
Talon Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Talon has been singing, "Happy Birthday to you!" over and over and over.....:silly:
yoyo1106 Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 My YoYo's saying "I wanna go shower" a lot. He doesn't mean he wants to shower though, it means he wants to be taken to the bathroom where he loves to stand on the shower door.
HeatherStrella Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Singing-"How much is that birrrrdie in da goooooooooooooooo" (long go, not goo) "Wanna come out baby girl?" Other stuff too but she says these over and over...and over.
