jjaura Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Hello everyone!! my baby grey is 9 months old now, and I’ve noticed that he’s had a couple droppings that resemble diarrhea, and one today had a bubble in it. Majority of his droppings are normal! And i have read and re read all the poopology charts etc. But can certain foods be causing this?! His weight hasn’t changed, he talks up a storm and still himself otherwise. 2
Greytness Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 Hi jjaura! Is today the first you've noticed the liquidy-bubbly droppings? If so, then see how things look tomorrow. Birds with infections can have bubbly poop, so if it continues, you might want to take in a stool sample for a gram stain. Did you change anything in his diet by any chance? 1
jjaura Posted December 4, 2018 Author Posted December 4, 2018 Yeah it was the first day, and I’ve been kind of playing around with different fruits & veggies to see if I can find something he actually likes!! 2
Greytness Posted December 4, 2018 Posted December 4, 2018 It might likely be the diet adjustments. How are his poops today? 2
jjaura Posted December 4, 2018 Author Posted December 4, 2018 Seem normal to me, green in colour.. no bubbles! 2
jjaura Posted December 4, 2018 Author Posted December 4, 2018 Can seeds cause a softer poop? I’ve noticed after his nutriberry treats he has softer droppings! 1
Greytness Posted December 5, 2018 Posted December 5, 2018 Not sure. I'd think that fresh fruits and veggies would cause that over seeds if anything. 2
jjaura Posted December 9, 2018 Author Posted December 9, 2018 I ended up getting a fecal float done at the vet to be sure! Everything’s in check 3
