What was the first thing you trained your grey and what would you reccomend?

I have an African Grey, Huginn, who is is absolutely adorable but was just born in May, doesn't talk so I can't communicate with him and the few things he recognizes is when I call his name and "no". 

I wanted to know what you guys did during these early stages in training, and at what age. Thank you :D

One of the first things you should work on is step up training.

This is the one think your grey can learn to do well and its something you will do every day.

Always get excited when your grey steps with positive reinforcement as this will always build and maintain your relationship.
