Greytness Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Made my first vet trip with Fynn yesterday. Was concerned because he was spending most of his time at the bottom of his cage 'resting', and he hadn't really touched his fresh food all day long. He even turned his beak away from banana, which seems to be his favorite food. Vet couldn't find anything wrong with him, but he did prescribe Baytril and sent out a stool sample for a gram stain. He's acting better today, and is spending his time up high again. He still isn't eating as much as he usually does. At least his poop has more signs of his having eaten something. 1
Timbersmom Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 Glad to hear he's better today! It is scary (to me anyway) when they do anything "out of character" because they hide illness. It's good you have a vet who can see him so quickly.
Greytness Posted October 4, 2018 Author Posted October 4, 2018 Thank you all! He was back to being his 'old' self by mid morning. Eating, playing etc. Will be interested if the gram stain grows out anything. For now he'll continue on with the antibiotics. 1
