Quick Health Question

Recommended Posts

Hi Devin, just now seeing this. How is Korra Doing? It can be scary when they startle like that and fly into a wall/window/mirror. If it happens again, look for any spots of blood, observe whether she looks and acts stunned/groggy, and is she chirping and moving as usual, do her wings appear to be OK and moving normally, and when in doubt, a phone call with questions to your vet never hurts. If anything it can and often does put your mind at ease.

Others may have more things to watch for.

Thank you so much for your fast reply. Korra is doing better than fine! There was no blood, and she certainly was not acting groggy; just a little surprised and wanted some calming words. Her wings were a little bit at her side, but she does that sometimes after she flaps her wings. Maybe she just relaxes them like that?

I will definitely watch for those symptoms the next time that she collides with something. It is very helpful that every time she flies off her perch she says something like "Korra!" or "Oooooh!" and walks over to me. She walks with her feet sideways like a chameleon. xD Does Inara do that?
