Hello fellow parrot lovers!

My name is Deanne and I have chosen an CAG as a life companion whom I namped Chaplin which is now more often Chappie.

Chappie is 13 weeks old and is believed to be a male.. (we will be double checking on this after a DNA test). I have watched a lot of videos and researching about CAG over the last 4-5 years.

He was the first CAG I seen in person ever so it was very exciting for me, I got him from one of my boyfriend's clients whom he knows quite well. Chappie arrived at my home a week ago and has settled in very nicely. He seems a very bold and outgoing sort of bird who seems to like everybody!

Chappie knows how to step up and perch on cue and he is getting quite good at flying and landing.. I know I will need help in his training which I will ask later in the appropriate section!

Here are some photos of him:

Welcome to you & Chappie, Deanne. Congratulations on your beautiful new baby! Looking forward to hearing more about your adventures together.

Feel free to toss in a few local pics, too. Your country has such beautiful wild birds & it's been a while since we've heard from a member from down unda.

Beautiful baby!! Welcome. I, also, would love some pictures of your wildlife. I have a nephew who is living in Australia and I can not get enough of your beautiful birds and flowers.

Hah I'll try :) I haven't got many photos of birds, mainly just Magpie. But if i do get photos of wildlife here, am I posting here?

And with Chappie.. do I upload more of his pictures here as he grows in the future or make a new thread in photos??

Thank you all very kind

Robopetz - Yes he is fully weaned, eating his seeds, nuts, muesli, pellets, fruits and veggies ect. :)

Welcome to Grey Forums. The picture on your avatar of Chappie is such a cute baby. I couldn't open the two links to see your photos on the original post. There doesn't seem to be a space between them so it may be trying to run the two links into one. We definitely would love to see photos of your homeland. There are two rooms here that would do well for those. One is the photography room and the other is off topic discussions. There is nothing as rewarding as to watch a new grey become bonded and to create a family/flock with his humans. It is magical to see the difference between adopting a family member for life and bringing home a new pet. Chappie is a lucky little parrot. Blessings to your family.
