I've never given one to Josey, but it is perfectly acceptable and they probably like them but they will make a mess of it for sure. I would imagine the seeds are the part that you eat, so if you want to try one with your grey, go ahead but be sure to put plenty of protection down and all around for they will probably sling it everywhere.

My 2 love them. In fact every one of my 30 birds love them...all species. But what a mess:( I save them for special occasions or outside. Luckily I have plastic panels on my bird room walls so they wash down easily.

pomegranate is one of brians favourites but yes it makes a huge mess! i have juice splatters up the wall and he has a pink head and face for days.. i don't know how he does it. needless to say he's not allowed them in the cage anymore. from my supermarket i can buy little boxes of just the "gems" which i use as training rewards now.

My Alfie loves it, he wont eat the seeds, instead he rolls it around his beak and extracts the juice. After each piece he gives his head a good shake to ensure everything within a meter radius has a even coat of the red stuff, bless him !!!!

Bella loves pomagranates juice. I drink it a lot and she sits on my shoulder and snags my glass and gulps it down. She even tries to feed me some! Now that makes a HUGE mess! She dribbles the juice all over my lips!
