rope ladder from 10 year old out door play set?

Question? I have a swing play set and was wondering if I could take the rope ladder from it and clean it up and use it for my grey? If so, how would you clean it? It is in great shape but was thinking about taking it apart since my kids are older. There are a few other things I think I could use as well.

Any health concerns?

Thank you in advance.

These would be some things I would think about. What is it made out of? Cotton? Synthetic material? Is it toxic? Would it mess with the digestive system? Is there mold on it? Bird poop from birds outside?

It is made of natural sisal rope. Yes, they are my concerns as we'll. It may just be better to buy new than recycle in the instance.

Sisal would be fine. If it's in good enough shape to handle a good cleaning it might be worth keeping. I would wash it really well in dish soap rinse it and then make a very mild solution of bleach water and soak it for about an hour and then rinse, rinse, rinse. Let it dry out and see what it looks like.

Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated.

I was just online a couple of days ago to find out how to make a mesh rope ladder. It doesn't look that hard, just a little time consuming. Something to do while just hanging out around the house.
