Meet the baby!

Okay, finally I've decided on this little star. Meet my baby boy, Congo Grey, Brody is his name for now. I'm still thinking of names, but I thought Brody was a cute name and it kinda fited him.

 

I would like to know what size cage I should get him, and some Grey tips on when I bring baby home? It will be awhile, tho. How long does it usually take for them to wean?

how old is he? he looks great. You need a cage that he can at least spread his wings out fully without hitting the sides of the cage and feeling cramped.

I biggest cage you have room for so he has room for toys and wings to spread without hitting stuff.

He is a cutie.

Weaning is different for each bird. Its not a set time or day.

Mine is big. I have mine w/ toys and I also rotate the toys. Mine is a total of 76" H x 40"w x 30"D. Its high because I have a play gym on top too. My inside dimension are 46" x 40"w x 30"D

My cage is white though I got mine at my local pet store but you can get it at www.birdscomfort.com .Mine is 80040. I got mine in white.

i found if you discount the seed catcher in the size you can get a bigger cage. i didnt put the catcher on mine, mainly cos it wouldnt fit :lol: but with greys, or at least mine it wouldn't make any difference, if he wants to throw his food he THROWS it, and it ends up feet from his cage rendering the catcher useless. just a thought <br><br>Post edited by: briansmum, at: 2007/10/29 16:07

Ok, I found my cage. I want a dome top because I don't think play tops are good for biger birdies. JMO. :blink:

I agree with you Zeta and that cage is almost identical to the one I have except mine is a couple inches shorter, and about 10 inches wider! Good choice!
