HeatherStrella
Harrison is so cute...when she's out in the living room, she only poops when she's on her perch. And she'll tell ya when she's gonna poop...she says in a VERY high voice "you go poopie"...If I've got her on my lap or whatever, I'll put her on her perch every-so-often and tell her to poop and she does it as soon as I tell her to. It's a trip to see her understanding what I'm saying. It took weeks/months of continuously putting her on her perch and telling her to "go poopie"...and catching her just before she actually pooped...we all know what our birdies do just as they're ready to poop...anyway, I just wanted to share the good news. Here's my favorite recent picture of her...(sorry if you've seen it before)
Toni
How cute.Alcazar loves when I take his pictures. If I get close though he tries to beak at it.He looks at me when I call him and he stands still so I can take it. I love how Harrisons head is cocked like that . too cute !! Thanx for the pic. Laurie
Aaaw, cute picture! I've been hemming & hawing about whether to try to potty train Klaus. At almost 8 months, do you guys think he's ready? Let's face it, I'm probably the one who's not ready...
HeatherStrella
Thanks for the comments...Laurie...it's never too early to start training...(I think)...
Cyard
Hooray!! I am so happy for you. I am glad you posted this, I think that Newton and I will have a talk about trying this. Though right now our calander is full with working on stepping up and stepping down and coming in and out of our cage nicely.
Christina
Congratulations! Now Harrison is two years old? I just started working with Finnigan, he is 6 months. I don't push it, but have always said good potty when he goes, so now I just take him wherever I want him to potty and tell him go potty. Sometimes he does other times he doesn't...but he starting to get the message that I don't like it when he potties on me!

HeatherStrella
Yeah, Harrison will be the big 2 years old on December 31. Woo hoo!! She had an accident on me yesterday...oh well, I'm sure it won't be the first...but it sure did surprise me...it's been a long time since she pooped on me. It was kinda my fault tho, I lost track of time and didn't put her on her perch to pooh at her "next interval" shall we say... Good luck training...it wasn't hard at all, it came naturally for Harrison, I think, after telling her what she was doing...and where I wanted her to do it. lol
Falconeer
Great news... Tonto learned not to poop anywhere in the living room... He also learned only to poop on me when in the living room.:woohoo: :silly:
