Best toys for an African Grey

I'm looking for suggestions on the best kinds of toys. What should I be looking for when toy shopping? I don't want to end up with something that may be harmful to my bird. Does anyone know of a website that sells good quality toys?

I asked Misty. In his opinion computer keyboards, any book I am reading, any newspaper I am holding , pens and remotes. In my opinion I cannot recommend any of these.

Steve- so true! The remote is the most coveted toy in the house. He'll drop what he's doing if he sees the remote unsupervised and vulnerable. We never have to fear losing the remote. Kizzy can find it under sofa pillows, hidden under blankets. The remote is not safe from an AG.

 

I like mysafebirdstore, and Dr Fosters. I also recommend making your own toys.

I get a lot of toys from Two Bird Lovers http://www.twobirdlovers.com/ and Naturesbirdperchantoys http://www.naturesbirdperchantoys.com/ I try and stock up at bird fairs but sometimes order toy parts off of Amazon.

if you want to know what types of toys are the best, maybe each bird is a lil different but I can tell you anything that can shred is one of marco's favorite type of toy, she also loves anything with wood in it or plastic. I havent seen her respond well to any type of leather or cloth like material. Just a helpful hint, sometimes some of the funnest toys and cheapest are ones you make from home like coffee filters and toilet paper rolls etc.
