Where else do you order toys? i want her to be busy and challenged during the workday hours she is home alone. I would like to switch Nalas toys out every few months....except for any that she seems really attached to.

 

When/how often do you rotate toys?

I can't say I've ordered from that site specifically, but there are many good toy sites to chose from.

I rotate several of Kizzy's toys in his cage weekly. He's a young bird and he doesn't get upset over the change. I buy my own toy parts now and also have a toy box in the bottom of his cage- I wrap nuts and foot toys in brown paper so he has to forage for them. He has to spend the day in his cage because I work so I want to keep him engaged and interested.

I buy a lot of my stuff from http://www.drsfostersmith.com Also from my http://www.mysafebirdstore.com/ I've found decent deals on rope perches etc. on Amazon.com The best deals I've gotten are at a bird fair. There is one about an hour from here twice a year.

 

I don't have a specific rotation schedule, which might be a mistake. When I notice Timber has lost interest in a toy or doesn't mess with it for a week, I put another one in. Rinse and repeat

I too order stuff from drs foster smith and get some stuff when we have our bird fair. I have looked at that site but have never ordered anything from them.

Our Minneapolis bird fairs are listed on craigslist in the pets section. My avian vet has given me info on bird clubs too.

I just started googling to find the one around here. They also list on craigslist under pets when one is upcoming.

I have ordered from their before I really like her site she has a lot to choose from and she has different things , I make some of my toys for the birds and she has a lot of toy parts
