Sassy Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 How do you give it to your grey? I'm clueless about this one. Thanks. Sassy
DanielaWelborn Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 There is a way to harvest the seeds. Best to google it. However, it is very messy and my Grey eating it is very messy too. I love them, but I am not sure it is worth the effort;)
Dave007 Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 How do you give it to your grey? I'm clueless about this one. Thanks. Sassy Just remember to cover the walls with vinyl covering.
Parrot Lady Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 my Amazon and my ringneck love pommies but Brandi and Opey could care less
Wingy Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Jake loves them. I just wash it well and slice off a round about an inch thick and put it on a plate. He rips and digs for each seed. He hasn't decorated the walls, he is more of a dropper than a flinger, but his poops get quite colorful. As Dave said. Vinyl is your friend.
murfchck Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 2 outta 5 eat them here. Gabby just loves them but the first time i gave them to the kiddos, her cage looked like a blood bath. After my panic looking for where she hurt herself, i noticed pieces of it on the wall and put 2 and 2 together. Doh!
Greywings Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Some of our birds seem to wear as much food as they eat, mine do enjoy Poms. I cut a chunk out for each and let them enjoy and destroy.
chelseaB Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Biscotti loves them & makes a big ol mess! The first time I gave him some I didn't know what a mess they could be & I about had a heart attack when I went to his cage & saw red splatter everywhere!! I thought he had cut himself some how, lol. It was just flung pom juice.
