dhorje Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 This is my 4th visit to this island. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Langkawi Day 1. Aseania Hotel. This is the place where we stayed for 3 nights. We rented a car to move about on the island. Day 2. Laman Padi. Laman Padi Langkawi showcases the history, heritage and development of the nation's rice growing industry. Among the attractions here is a rice museum displaying artifacts, charts and photographs showing the significance of padi cultivation to the country. Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy a bird's eye view of the fields from a roof-top garden. For the uninitiated, try your hand at -padi planting using both traditional as well as modern methods of cultivation. There is also a restaurant offering popular traditional Malay recipies and local delicacies which are prepared using rice as the main ingredient. We proceeded to the Seven Wells Waterfall after visiting Laman Padi. This waterfall is considered by many to be the most beautiful waterfall on Langkawi & has one of the legends of Langkawi associated with it. It is said that the wells, or pools at the very top of the falls are where Fairies come to bathe.
dhorje Posted November 23, 2012 Author Posted November 23, 2012 Next we visited Temurun Fall, the tallest in Langkawi. Here I shot this guy performing a stunt.
dhorje Posted November 23, 2012 Author Posted November 23, 2012 Back to the hotel. Boasting its own mini water park and a 154.4 meter long swimming pool recognised as the longest pool in Malaysia by The Malaysian Book of Records, Aseania Resort Langkawi’s water park also contains other wonderful attractions such as a wave pool, slides and lazy river. We took a stroll at the nearby Cenang Beach in the evening before dinner. Night scene of Cenang Beach street. Night scene of the hotel.
dhorje Posted November 23, 2012 Author Posted November 23, 2012 Day 3. The next morning, I took a stroll at the nearby beach alone. I saw this beautiful cloud after sunrise. After breakfast we went to visit these 2 Thai temples on our way to Wildlife Park. 1st temple. 2nd temple. Next, another waterfall. I couldn't find a good angle to shoot this beautiful fall.
dhorje Posted November 23, 2012 Author Posted November 23, 2012 Sunset at Eagle Square. Day 4. Morning walk on a beach before flying home.
dhorje Posted November 23, 2012 Author Posted November 23, 2012 A view of the hotel from a hill. A beach near the airport. My last shot before departing.
