A good brand of food dhydrator to buy

was thinking of buying one for the birds veggies and some fruits but not sure wha kind to buy , any suggestions? or good brands ? this is the one I was thinking about but not sre if it is the right kind

That should work just fine, although fresh is best it is good to be able to have the dried veggies and fruits when they are otherwise unavailable. I try to keep some dried foods in case of Tropical storms creating electrical failure down here on the Gulf Coast. Fun to add to their dry foods for extra interest and nutrition as well but do keep in mind that dried fruits are high in sugars.

t I did forget tha dried fruits are higher in sugars , why is that? vegtables to?

Just removes the water so it concentrates what is there, does no add to it.

With people, they say not to eat too many dried fruits because the removal of water causes you to eat more (than you would eating fresh), which leads to more sugar. As greywings said, it doesn't add any sugar. As for vegetables, I'd think it would be a good thing if they ate more?
