Sassy
What insurance do you have and do you like it? What the cost?? Thanks
JeffNOK
I can't find any good insurance for parrots. The only one I found was VPI. It has horrible reviews. Everyone says it promises the world and then denies coverage. I'd love to hear from others who can suggest another choice.
kave70
I worked for a vet, and for the most part the insurance companies were nightmares. It requires such specific documentation and then would deny coverage. Specifically, I recall VPI being so very difficult. The owner and then the staff had to jump through hoops just to complete the required proof and paperwork. It got to the point that we charged a fee for additional processing as we're talking loads documentation and follow up paperwork for the client to receive minimal coverage. In my opinion, I'd skip. Life is Greyt
Not sure if maybe things have drastically changed, because I have VPI on all my pets and it has been wonderful and saved me lots of money. I fill the claim forms out myself and it just a simple one paige claim form that you submit with the receipt. Chickie's coverage is only $20 a month, and that includes emergencies and a yearly exam with cbc. When my older greyhound was dying, VPI covered lots of her bills. They also even reimburse you for the euthanasia and sent a very nice sympathy card. They've always been extremely helpful and nice to deal with, also. Everyone also gets birthday cards every year from them too. All our animals are covered through them and it's worth every penny.
