Yes, i made it :) i bought some PVC pipes and some needed accessories and started building DJ his first playstand. It does look good, and i am working on finishing it. I hope i can by tomorrow, i will then post some photos. I thought it's easy but it's a lot of work. Every time i feel tired i look at DJ and i say he deserve it. Then i start again.

I made one of those and Josey won't step foot on it, she is still scared of it, if I didn't live half a world away you could have had that one as it is doing her no good, can't wait to see what you come up with.

Oh can't wait to see your finished playstand!!!!! On another note, I love your signature especially the first picture. So very sweet and uninhabited. Priceless.

Yeah, that photo is one of my favorites. Susu is my first parrot and i love him as any member of my family :)

Well done! That goes for you and DJ as well. You just kept going and going until the moment DJ jumped in and gave it the seal of approval. I love how you go the extra step to make your flock and family happy. Thanks for all you do.

It looks great, you did a good job on it and so glad DJ jumped right on it, of course he is a young grey so they take to new things quicker than older birds do, you could make these and sell them.

Great Job! I'm not very handy, so to make a playstand would be quite and endeavor for me. You have inspired me to try to make one though. I'm glad DJ likes it. Thanks for sharing.

That looks great! And it got immediate approval! I made two a month ago and Buddy is just barely getting on one of them. But he's a very cautious grey, it takes him a while to get used to new things.

WOW!!!! Tht looks fantastic bro....I was just thinking yesterday that I need to make a playstand for Dexter & signed in today to get some ideas & saw ur stand....Its a fantastic piece of work man....I'm truly inspired...did u manage to get the untreated rope in the hardware store as well??? it looks like jute if i'm not mistaken...I'm sure DJ loves it...gotta visit the hardware store in the evening & get started & if i manage to do half the job u've done I'll consider it a success....Thx Ismail

Dude how did u get the pipes through the wood base & do you have like a slightly bigger plastic base that is screwed to the end of the pipes at the bottom to keep the stand level....I'm not a regular handyman, have hardly assembled or made any stuff on my own so i'll need sum guidance for making mine....

How did you attach the bowls? I'm wanting to build a play stand for Amy but can't figure out how to attach bowls. I'd like to be able to take the bowls out to clean them. Thank you so much. It looks amazing!

Hi Christina, I have not used any kind of glue. I made holes through the PVS pipe and bought two screws with nuts to lock them secured.

The bowls i used are sort of like this:

You have to remove the screw that came with the bowl and replace it with the new longer screw. Very easy. Just make sure that the hole you made in the PVC is the same size of the new screw. I think i should take photos and that may help even better.
