CLB Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Our baby girl just last week...6 week old Panama Amazon (still working on a name). I thought I would also share her hatch day photo. She is the tiny baby in the bottom of the picture. Sorry it's hard to see but she was still in the incubator.
Luvparrots Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Oh my what a cutie! Looking forward to watching this little sweetie grow!!!
JeffNOK Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Thanks for sharing. I have a soft spot for Amazons. I doubt I'll ever have one since I live in a condo and noise can be an issue, but I love to live vicariously through all you lucky Zon parronts.
Ray P Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Hi CLB Your new zon looks awesome. I am going to add your new baby to the amazon honored list and when you come up with a name let me know so I can finish the list. Always great to see a new zon member
judygram Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 What a little cutie pie, amazons are not for me but I love to see other's birds.

CLB Posted June 22, 2012 Author Posted June 22, 2012 Thanks for the kind words! Here she is as of today (7 weeks). Spending most of her time on the play gym.
judygram Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 She is a real cutie, a precious little thing, looking forward to the next phase, thanks for sharing.
CLB Posted June 26, 2012 Author Posted June 26, 2012 Well, we went to see our baby girl today. As life would have it we were not able to go last week and I was missing her terribly! Had a great visit. She is the youngest of the clutch and it shows. She is still very much a baby and slept most of the time on my chest. The oldest chick took it's first flight and i know our baby won't be far behind. She spent some time flapping her wings, showing off those pretty blue feathers and sampling some fresh granola. I am totally smitten.... Will try to post today's pics, just need to get them off my son's Ipod.
CLB Posted June 26, 2012 Author Posted June 26, 2012 Sorry for the blurry pic...but here it is. Not sure why it's sideways??
Ray P Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Sideways, upsidedown, It does not make a differance she is still a great looking zon
Ray P Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 I like the name Lola. I will put her name in and take the xxx`s out so every body knows "Lola" !!
Luvparrots Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Lola what a lovely name. Reminds of the old song "whatever Lola wants....." Amazons are the best, enjoy!
CLB Posted June 26, 2012 Author Posted June 26, 2012 (edited) I was thinking more "Copacabana...Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl With yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there She would merengue and do the cha-cha".....Can't wait to bring her home!! Edited July 5, 2012 by CLB
CLB Posted July 5, 2012 Author Posted July 5, 2012 Our little Lolita is growing up! She is a great little snuggle bug and spends much of our visit snuggled in my lap. Today, she took a little hop from my arms to her playstand and was flapping her wings preparing for her first flight...which she promptly took AFTER I left! I heard she flew 12 feet and made a respectable landing. I am completely in love with this baby. sorry for the sideways picture....again!
Ray P Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 We are all waiting with you. So she can take her place with all our other zons of the grey forum.
CLB Posted July 5, 2012 Author Posted July 5, 2012 I received this photo this morning. My friend captured her in the aviary where she took her first flight. Lola is the baby on the left.
