It was partly pink when he was young, now it is solid black. This is common with young/baby greys.

Good question. I had wondered about this myself but had forgotten to ask. My baby's tongue is pink with patches of dark dark grey/black. It is so soft it tickles my fingers when he's using his mouth to explore and learn about what he getting ready to rest his beak against.

Lol--Interesting question. Gracie's tongue looks like a grilled hot dog-- pink and black in different spots. They have such unusual tongues.
