Not the baby bird I was looking for

Found there is a nest with a couple babies under our deck. I think they are mourning doves... But I can't tell thru the small crack in the planks... Our deck is about 1.5 stories above the ground so they are very well protected.

Morning doves are just gorgeous! Their call is beautiful. My husband is trying to teach Buddy how to sound like a mourning dove.

i have a feeling that when I bring my baby home he will probably pick up the call... they are always hanging out on our deck....

My Grandfather used to tell us, it's a blessing to have a bird build a nest somewhere in the house

I usually have at least one bird nest around my carport usually in one or more of my hanging baskets, when I find it I have to be careful of watering the plant so as not to disturb the eggs and/or babies. Speaking of doves I usually see a few of them outside my house either looking for seeds or going thru the gravel looking for grit, I love their cooing also.
