emlee Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 My CAG Quinn just started to throw his pellets. He has no problem eating them until he was introduced to the fruited flavors of the same food. So now he puts his face in the dish and slings his food to the floor where three happy dogs await eagerly like treats being thrown from a Mardi Gras parade. Why do they do this. He wont take any veggies or fruit. He will eat an occasional sunflower seed or cherrios. Has anybody else experienced this?
Shelly Yokum Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 My Macs do it all the time. I have put less in the dish, but fill it more often. Seems as if when they see colored ones, they search for just the right one. I put just enough to cover the bottom of the bowl, wait for them to finish it then give just a little more. I have heard give veggies and pellets in the morning, then only a half hour in the evening of seeds leave the bowls empty at night. Then they will eat just about anything after a few days. It worked great for my crew.
emlee Posted November 24, 2011 Author Posted November 24, 2011 I will give that a try. He can certainly use veggies. I was also told he might be hormonal. Besides throwing food he is tearing up paper and anything else and forming piles mixed with regurgitation. Ok, perhaps, he's two.

Jimmydreams Posted December 14, 2011 Posted December 14, 2011 What a great video!! I love the look on Sunny as she says "oh yeah?" When you closed the top door. I'm surprised the Beagle doesn't weigh 100lbs!!
kins2321@yahoo.com Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 Emlee... he is being perfectly normal. typical for age two. He will shower the walls with food. Just ignore the behavior, continue to offer new fruits and veggies and rotate. Nancy
