Guest Netty
Just got new camera batteries and took some pictures of my "babies" LOL they come by every afternoon and i sit and feed them: My beautiful mourning dove babies... the female nested right by the front door so they have been seeing me since they were in the nest hence why they sit right beside me in the lawn. They are to nervous (mostly due to the dogs) to sit on my lap like last years babies did but they will stand on my hand and eat out of it if i lay my hand on the ground with some seed. (hard to get a picture of that LOL) I have a video of me walking up and them coming running up on the ground to me i'll see if it is small enough to upload without taking HOURS LOL
judygram
The doves at my house will take flight as soon as I appear outside so I can't get any close shots of them like you have but where I live they are subject to some pressure when it comes to hunting season, I love their little coo. Guest Netty
yea we are lucky here the pheasent and quail keep most of our bird hunters busy (and ducks geese and turkey to...) The female always nests right by our front door (lack of predators in that area due to dogs LOL our dogs leave the birds alone so they have no issues chillin together in the grass on a sunny day LOL. and yea they have a beautiful little call on them
kave70
They are beautiful! We are lucky enough to have several adult pairs, but I haven't seen babies. Thanks for sharing.
