JDS5607
I never really noticed outside birds, until our first fid, Romeo ( our tiny lovebird with a missing toe) flew into our hearts... then along came Chicken, Joe, Zoe, and Sully. It seems now that I catch myself watching the Seagulls in the parking lots searching for frenchfries, Robins in the yard stomping for worms, and the little red cardinal that sits on the fence speaking to Sully in the morning... I never noticed how they ate, bathed in the dirt (or water puddle) or flew, and now I find it mesmorizing. It's amazing how our fids have changed the way we see things, including when I see a fun kid toy, I immediately starting thinking of what ways Sully would play with it (instead of thinking of how my 9 nieces and nephews would play with it, lol) Just my thought for the morning Happy Sunday, Everyone! prettyBird
Birds change your life for the better, don't they?
Eshana
The same thing happened to me! I mean, I knew their were birds around me, but I never really noticed them until I got fids. Now I find myself watching them constantly whenever I'm outside!
Ray P
It was the out side birds that started me with my cocktiels 40 years ago and I have had tiels all those years and than I moved up to a grey and than a amazon peacocks chickens and we have had lovebirds and keets. The wife and I love to watch our ducks swim in the pond. We also have bird feeders out side our window that hold 25# of bird feed each so we always have wild birds all year round. We just love it. Luvparrots
I grew up in the country so animals and birds have always been a part of my life. My father loved the feathered creatures and he just instilled it in all of us!
kave70
I live in a very rural area and LOVE sitting outside watching the birds. I have hummingbird feeders on a few windows and it's so cool to sit and watch these little guys so closely. We have such a variety of birds here- their colors are stunning. We have chickens and ducks too, so I guess I'm a bird girl, all the way. It's a gift to watch/hear them, don't ya think? Karen
