Makena Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 {Feel-bad-00020072} That is sooo sad... He was 30 years old. I can't even imagine how horrible Irene must feel... My heart goes out to them.
Talon Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 OMG! I'm so, so, sad for Irene and those that worked and loved him. What a sad horrible time it is for them and all of us grey owners that loved him just because. My heart breaks for Irene. {Feel-bad-0002006A}
Tricky Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 What?!? Oh man, That's terrible... I was so amazed by Alex. They were such an inspiring duo... Well at least she still has Wart and Griffin at her side. What heartbreak...
BMustee Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 OMG!!! I can't believe it...that’s horrible!!! Where did you hear about it Teri? Alex was such an important part of parrot research, it's such a shame he's gone. I would be inconsolable if I was Irene...I hope she is doing okay. {Feel-bad-0002006A}
Tari Posted September 8, 2007 Author Posted September 8, 2007 There was a post on one of the other forums I visit a lot. I checked it out to make sure it was not a joke. You can see it at the link I posted.
BMustee Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 I just did a quick google search and found something on it. For anyone that does not know who Alex was you should read this. http://www.deadnotforgotten.com/blog/
nevjoe Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 This is so sad. This family will feel the pain for a long time. Our family at the forum has lost a friend in deed. My prays and sympathy to all who knew him and held him so close in their hearts. Peace be with you. Joe
Guest Monique Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Yes, unfortunately this is definitely not a hoax. I saw the e-mail from the Alex Foundation as soon as I just got home today and then logged on here and saw it was already posted. You can see they have this posted on their home page as well. I am sure she is heartbroken. These birds become like our children but her relationship with Alex was very special and also had connections on her career levels as well.

Post edited by: Talon, at: 2007/09/08 04:30
nevjoe Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 BMustee Thank you for sharing that site. I hope everyone will read it. Joe
frankieNYC Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 So terrible and so sad :( {Feel-bad-0002006A}
BMustee Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 No problem Joe...I'm betting pretty much everyone knows who he is but some of the guests may not. Plus I thought that was a cute story about the kind of bird Alex was. I'm going to be watching all the sites on Monday to find out what happened to him. I hope whatever it was didn't spread to Griffin and Wart.
lovemyGreys Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Devastating & tragic, A very sad day {Feel-bad-0002006A}
