sexing CAGs

Is there any way to sex CAGs other than DNA testing? I read somewhere that females tend to have red feathers around the vent, is this true?

There is no sure way. A DNA is the only 100%. There is threads in here on gender. Look them up and look at the responses. I done DNA on mine.

Running a 100% so far on DNA is the only way for 99.9 percent certainty. :-)

DNA is the only 100 % accurate way to be sure.Visual sexing is not reliable & you would need years of experience to attempt it

DNA testing is the only way to be sure, short of the bird laying an egg! Of course, the DNA test is only as accurate as the lab performing it. There can be lab errors, though it is rare. Just wanted to be sure eveyone understands that lab errors are a small, but real possibility. DNA is the only way to do it however I've said it before and I'll say it again, both my Greys had the visual markers, the lighter strips under the wings, the grey tips on the vent feathers, and the thin eye rings, and both have been sexed as females.

But like everyone said there is no sure way other than sexing....the best you have is a hunch
