TitaniumPhoenix
Hello everyone! I just wanted to write a quick greeting to everyone since I just joined! I stumbled across your forums not long ago, and my husband and I found the information on this site very helpful. We have a somewhat new friend named Ruffles! He's a TAG and he's a little over a year old now. He's kind of quirky, and we're hoping asking some questions and reading some threads on here will help us make him a happier bird! As I type this, Ruffles is sitting in my lap and demanding a head scratch, so I'd better be on my way!

You will find lots of useful information in our many threads so continue to read thru them and ask any and all questions you may have and we will help you in any way we can. Ruffles looks adorable in your avatar but if you have some more pictures of him you would share with us we would love to see them.
TitaniumPhoenix
Ruffles actually has his own Facebook page that has a great collection of pictures! I'm sorry, I would post them here, but my hubby and I are about to go out for dinner. Mr. Ruffles The page started out as a joke... but it turned into a good place for our friends and family to make rather funny comments! (Particularly my mother in law who, no matter how hard she tries, cannot get Ruffles to like her!)

katana600
Thanks for joining the forum. We will learn from and enjoy Ruffles with you. I can't think of any other place in my life where I can go on and on and talk about birds with others who understand. Ruffles is a cutie.

Guest jules420_91
Hi I am a new member here too. We are bringing home our baby boy Louie CAG next Wednesday!!! He will be 14 weeks old this Thursday & is a complete joy for his daddy & I. This kind of forum is a great place to meet new friends & educate ourselves so we can be better parronts. Mr. Ruffles is adorable. It was difficult for us to choose between a TAG & CAG baby. Louie just stood out for us from the start. He chose us so CAG it is lol. We also have a White-Fronted Amazon girl named Tarzie (formerly Tarzan lived first 6 yrs as a boy LMAO) She loves her momma & pretty much hates her daddy. It has taken a long time to completely gain the trust of my wee girl. We rescued her from a pet store & she was terrified of everything especially hands. We took 6yrs in deciding whether to rescue another parrot or to buy a hand raised baby & what breed was right for us. Through educating myself on parrots I totally fell in love with Greys. We are so excited to get Louie home!!! It has been a long wait. We are going to visit him tomorrow. All the best to you & yours, Julie, Greg, Tarzie & Louie

TitaniumPhoenix
Aww! Louie is so cute!! I love when they have their little black baby eyes. They look so innocent and sweet! And then they turn yellow and get a mind of their own... the audacity of them, lol!
Guest jules420_91
Thank you everyone. I just adore my parrots. I have always had pets everything from cows, chickens, horses, dogs, cats & even mice but the relationship I have with my birds is the most amazing of them all. My friends & family call me "Mother Noah" LMAO because of my passion for animals. My husband says I will not be complete until I have 2 of every animal lol. That is not exactly true I have a passion for my pets but also of animals in their natural environment. I look forward to sharing stories with all of you. I am so excited to know Louie will be coming home next week I am shaking & bawling like a baby. The love feels much the same as bringing home each of my human babies. I look forward to a long, happy, healthy life with our birds. Thank you all for making me feel welcome, Julie, Greg, Tarzie & Louie
