rEsage
So I'm so excited. I just got my buddy to start eating in front of me. I have only had him for 30 hours or so or something around that. But he has just started to pick up his food from his dish and eat. and he has been eating for the past 5min now. I am excited for that =D How ever, he does not like to take water from his water bowl. If I put it in front of him he just kinda bites the side and disregards it. How ever I bought a little bottle type that dispenses water and he will play with that to get water but I have no way of mounting it on the cage =/ it didn't come with one strangely (only $8) I could pick up another one with mount I guess tomorrow. But for the mean time.... I don't see him drinking what do I do to get him to drink from his bowl. Or do they do that in private when I'm not around? shanlung
Relax and enjoy your grey. Do check bottle type water dispenser regularly as the tube can be choke up over time. Press that ball to test if water will run. Water in water bowl is fine. A grey is so smart you will not believe it even later when you see and know for yourself how clever he can me. You will see him drinking soon enough. Think of giving him the best food ever that you can feed to a grey. The best food by far for your parrot will be Tinkerbell mash, a food that you make with love and care for your parrot. No additives or shelf life extenders in it. Luvparrots
I very seldom see my birds drinking water from their water bowls. They get most of their water from their fruits. They have apple slices everyday. They all insist and Ana Grey specifically asks every day. Also Ana Grey steals a nip of my orange juice, pomegranate, etc. drinks. judygram
I bet by now your grey has had some water, I don't see my grey much at the water bowl but I am sure she goes when she is thirsty gets a drink and is back playing with her toys, you don't see them taking a drink unless you are looking right at them at the time.
