david brown
Thank you for all the welcomes. Polly is just over 5 years old. I got her from our across the street neighbors who used to be Breeders. The Husband passed away & it was too much for my neighbor/friend to keep up with so they are still Bird Folks but not Breeders any longer. I had her since she was an egg We have (well my daughter & I share the birds with the rest of the family ) 4 other bird friend Squiggy a Indian Ring Neck Buddy a female Cockatiel we were told was a male Sunshine another female Cockatiel we call Chicken because they set on the bottom of their cage & peck around like chickens. And Finally a Angry Budgey named Anne Here are a few more pics
Morana
Hello and welcome:-) I wanted to ask...how did you train your Polly to go outside on your sholder and not fly away?
david brown
It was mostly a photo op, she hangs out on my shoulder all the time & we took her in her travel cage to a 4th of July party in the park. I let her sit on my shoulder for a while, not the smartest thing to do with out a harness on. But the picture did make my wife fall in love with me
Pandora
so beautiful gray you have and the nymphs are adorable. welcome here I am with the new to the forum and can say that they are wonderful here.
judygram
David please do be careful of taking Polly outside without being on a harness or in a cage as even with a clip they can still fly with the proper breeze if she should be startled by something, its just their natural instinct to fly off if startled, I don't mean to nag but we would hate to see you lose her that way as we have seen it happen too many times. She is a gorgeous bird and obviously loves you, your other birds are very pretty too.
