Streetwise
Well people, Lucy is due home very soon. My original plan was for Lucy to live at work Monday to Friday then come home at the weekends. Rambo was to stay the same going back an fourth to work every other day. Well now I'm a bit bonded with Lucy I don't like the idea of her been left at work over night. So I'm thinking now both birds will work share. Both live at home all the time but will come to work with me every other day. So both birds will see me every morning and every night but will get my under divided attention at work every other day. At night if I'm out, both of them are save at home with each other for company. What do you think ?? I'm also thinking I won't need two travel cages and I won't need two cages at work. The massive cage I bought for Lucy at work Rambo can go in on his day at work. It's so big Rambo will be in heaven. If i've not made myself clear the birds will never be in the same cage ever. Both have there own at home and never be at work together. For anyone new to my latest post's I have a 6month old CAG called Rambo and a 18 week due home anytime Green Wing called Lucy. judygram
I like this plan better than the previous one of leaving Lucy at work overnight, not a good idea but this will work and you will have one of your birds at work with you every day, you can alternate on the fifth day with one going one week then the other the next week so they will get equal time. You probably will need to get a second travel cage if only for the reason if you ever had to evacuate the house for any reason, say fire or whatever you would have a cage for each bird to go in, everyone should have one cage per bird in the event it is ever needed in an emergency. I would love to see some pictures of Lucy if you have any new ones to share.
Luvparrots
I like your new plan and I agree with Judy you need to travel cages just in case. Of course, in an emergency you can always pop one or the other of your fids into a pillow case, if you don't have two travel cages, but I would prefer two travel cages, I have three. Luvparrots
I have large collapsible travel cages from http://www.thecountryroost.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=28_29&products_id=98 which fit my male eclectus and my male amazon, no problem. I also use them when I visit my daughter for the weekend and take the birds.
