Lambert58 Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Your fid drops a nugget on your arm and before wiping it off you inspect it to make sure it's a healthy poop.
judygram Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Oh definitely I can relate to that one as I am sure we all do.
Birdnut Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Thanks for the laugh. I do so much prefer the title "dedicated bird owner," rather than just "nuts"!!
judygram Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 I totally agree with being a "dedicated bird owner" rather than just a "bird nut" kind of puts it in a better perspective doesn't it.
Lambert58 Posted July 31, 2010 Author Posted July 31, 2010 I missed the "d" in the title... sorry I was... inspecting
shanlung Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 I am not the dedicated owner of a bird. I am the ownie of that bird cum slave cum plaything.
Birdnut Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 I am not the dedicated owner of a bird. I am the ownie of that bird cum slave cum plaything. Well put! I don't really feel like an owner, either. More like a caretaker. Maybe we should say, "You know you're dedicated to your bird when..."
Lambert58 Posted August 1, 2010 Author Posted August 1, 2010 I really hadn't meant for this thread to devolve into a discussion over whether we're bird "owners" or bird "companions." Sorry if my choice of words offended. Lighten up people!
shanlung Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 I thought I better put in a belated smiley even 2 belated smiley for Lambert that perhaps should be placed in my earlier posting to show what I wrote is tongue in cheek and as a joke. :) To get Lambert to lighten up in the way he try to tell us
Birdnut Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Sorry, Lambert. No one was taking offense. I think Shanlung and I were both speaking in a spirit of "lightness." Apologies if it didn't come across that way. So how about this one: You know you're a dedicated bird owner when you tell the real estate agent that you will only consider a house with concrete floors, or otherwise will require an allowance to replace the carpet with concrete floors. (Yep. We really did this)
