danmcq
That is very sad. It is also wise advice to heed. Thanks for sharing this!
Snow
omg, this is so awful! I do hope this horrible accident helps others safeguard their loved ones. We often accept our critters as regular family members and forget the differences in our reactions and responses.

judygram
Yes I think we all will learn from this story, sometimes it takes something like this to make us all aware of the dangers even in the home for our birds. My heart goes out for them and I will keep them in my prayers. So very sad and tragic.
HeatherStrella
I saw this earlier today and have been thinking about it all day. It is so sad!! I can't imagine what the owners must be going through. Is the username Charlie666? If it is, I'd just like to send them a little note, that's all. It is so very sad. It brings tears to my eyes. Richardsmommy
Wow. I've experienced fatal accidents with a couple of parakeets and it made me wish I could turn the clock back 15 minutes. It also made me think, "If only 'this' and 'this' and 'this' didn't happen..." Please forgive your husband, as difficult as it would be. He didn't mean to do it, and his heart is probably aching for what your going through. If he could have foreseen the accident, he would have taken the bird out of harm's way before working on the shelves. I certainly don't need to tell you all this. I'm very sorry you all had to go through this...you, your husband and his owners. My heart is aching for you and I'm crying. Time will soothe the pain. lovemyGreys
Richardsmommy it never happened to me personally, it was a post from a UK forum which i am a member.I posted as a warning for all of us to take care when caring out DIY etc.. FairY i know what you are saying, the odds must be a million to one,but a tragic accident that happened.I'm so fortunate that my greys have their own room in my house, which lessens some of the danger. nevjoe
This is soooooo sad. My bird is only 3 months old and it would so bad if somethings happened to him. OMG those poor people. People care very much for their pets, and they become so much of family. Sory for their loss. Joe
