Greymatter
Hi everyone! Just wanted to step in and say hi! I'm here with my menagerie (African grey, cockatiel, caique, and budgie...amongst our cat and two Rhodesian Ridgebacks!) to have some fun discussions, and hopefully learn a thing or two. As well, it will be nice to discuss bird topics with real bird people! Talk soon!
judygram
Hello Greymatter and welcome to our family, yes you are among "real" bird people here and we know exactly how you feel and you will fit in nicely. We look forward to hearing more about you and your menagerie of companions. You are the second member in the last few days to mention having ridgebacks, just what kind of dog is that and maybe when you post some pictures you could include one of your dogs so we may see what they look like. You will learn a lot here, we have thousands and thousands of threads with useful information and advice, we have many knowledgeable members who will share their experience with you and answer your questions, we all are ready to help you in any way we can. We do love pictures here so if you have some of your fids you would share with us that would be great.

Greywings
Welcome and glad you found us. I love Ridgebacks, until Greymatter can answer for herself they are a large strong reddish tan colored dog with a ridge of hair that stands up due to the follicles pointing the opposite direction from the rest of the coat. They are protective of their people and were developed to protect livestock and people from Lions in South Africa. A very handsome breed.

Xtreme575
Welcome to a fellow Canuck! Since you are a bird person, I will even excuse the fact that you are from Ottawa. Sorry, you know I have to tease anyone who lives in our nation's capital, but in all honesty, Ottawa is one of my favourite Canadian cities. Welcome to the forum, ask, share, and enjoy! pearllyn
Welcome Greymatter (love the name!) It's great to have you hear, it would be nice to see some pics of your flock if you can manage it - specaially of your grey, but the ridgebacks too - I love them!!! Looking forward to hearing more about you all. Lyn & Alfie
