what can i give my CAG for a treat when training. so i want to find something small and healthy. Thanks alot

Also are whole peanuts a bad treat for her. i mean whole as they are in the shell.

Whole peanuts in the shell I would not feed to her, sometimes they have fungus in them. Find out what she really likes to eat and use that for treats. But a lot of greys like nutraberries, if you know what they are.

As long as you don't give too much, cheese is a favorite of a lot of greys, including mine.

you can give whole peanuts in the shell, just be sure to buy human grade ones, was before feeding, keep them in the appropriate conditions and don't exceed the use by date and they'll be fine.

 

as for the treat you could try the pomegranite "pods" if you pick them out and then feed one by one for training purposes. need to take a bit of time picking them out though

Mine likes raw pine nuts as treats. She LOVES them! I just give 1 at a time as a treat when training etc. They are small and swallowed in one gulp. As all nuts, not the healthiest thing, but in moderation better than sweets etc...

Dayo likes Nutriberries, Human grade unsalted Peanuts in the shell, GRAPES ( need to limit ) and Cheerios :-)

You should limit or omit the peanuts in the shell, Dan, I don't feed them to Josey because of the danger of some kind of toxin that may be in them. Better to stick with the nutraberries or something else he loves.
