katana600 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 What a great way to start the new year! Welcome to your precious little girl. Blessings to you as you start a new stage in your life with an adorable daughter. I hope she looks just like you with fair skin and dark hair and a lovely smile.... of course that will be a toothless smile for a little while, LOL. It was 24 years ago today that my first little girl was born, what a perfect day to share with you. Thanks for the happy news.
Georgiesmum Posted January 6, 2010 Author Posted January 6, 2010 Thank you Dee And happy birthday to your daughter B) I don't know If I'll get a look in atal as from the scan she is the imagine of my boyfriends 5 year old brother
Luvparrots Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Congratulations on your baby girl. I have one older grandson and two older granddaughters and four young grandsons so I truly miss all the cute things you can buy for little girls. Girl stuff is so much more fun!!! Congrats!!!
JillyBeanz Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Oh, what lovely news! Those 4D scans are soooo spooky! Not long now - a baby and a baby parrot - bah - your hands are going to be full!!
judygram Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Congrats on your new baby girl to be, I remember when I had my two kids I didn't find out what sex they were until they were born but my firstborn was a girl, over 41 years ago.
Georgiesmum Posted January 15, 2010 Author Posted January 15, 2010 Hi everyone We're trying to pick a name for our little daughter to be. It's not easy at all  Anyone any suggestion on nice names???
JillyBeanz Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Jill is a lovely name It's such a difficult decision - this baby is going to have to live with the name for the rest of it's life - not an easy task to undertake! There's some beautiful Irish names - do you not want to go down the traditional route? It seems everyone else all over the world are pinching the Irish names - and those in Ireland aren't using them anymore. Watch out for initials too - I honestly work with someone called Bethany Una Marshall!!!
Toni Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 If I had a girl today her name would be a toss up these 2 names..Olivia or Mackenzie
JillyBeanz Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Olivia is a really popular name here in the UK too. Now, Mackenzie in the UK is traditionally a boy's name. Isn't it so interesting how even names are looked at differently in different countries. I find it all fascinating.
kittykittykitty Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 How exciting to have a little daughter. I have two, very grown, three grands, also very grown (two grsons also)and one gtgr dau, four, going on 24:ohmy:. They are wonderful! Have fun!!!:silly:  Names? I agree, be careful with the initals. And think of how it will be for a 70 year old.

Post edited by: kittykittykitty, at: 2010/01/16 21:14
Luvparrots Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Well, if you would like a couple of suggestions, how about Irene or Lydia. I think you will find that the right name will just come to you, give it time.
Acappella Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Well, I always loved my mom's name, Grace Yvonne. Take it from one who knows, give her something easy to spell. It will save her alot of grief over her life. Love, M-a-r-g-u-e-r-i-t-e
Supernova Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 Congratulations :woohoo::woohoo: :woohoo: Another hungry mouth to feed As for names I have always liked---- Susan,Elizabeth,Imogen,or my wife says Paige.
