JillyBeanz
SSSSHHHHHH!!! Don't tell Harvey about the pommies! Emma is doing EXACTLY what Harvey does with pomegranate - shakes her head! Therefore, I have had to replace numerous slats from my vertical blinds due to the "pink splatter pattern". She's enjoying that for sure
judygram
I know, I have been eyeing them at the grocery store but just haven't broken down and bought one for Josey to try, maybe if I put her into the shower stall then I can just hose it down.
Luvparrots
Emma certainly likes her pomegranate. I have tried it a time or two with Ana Grey and she ignores it. But Emma certainly loves it!!!
raleej337
Simon my CAG loves the pomegranate but I have to limit the feeding. I have to remove the stains on the carpet first! Funny thing is when I put a piece of it for him to eat he just ignored it until I showed him I am eating it then he follows.
katana600
Oh gosh Judy, that is a great idea. I bought Juno a pomegranate and was hoping for a sunny day to take his cage outside so he could make a big mess. It would go a long way to helping him like the shower time if I can give him one to fling about without ruining the house. I will try that tomorrow morning and let you know how it works out. Emma sure is enjoying hers!

lovethatgrey
Perhaps it won't be as bad as you imagine. Emma really is a tidy eater and doesn't make much of a mess.
casper
My three love their pommie seeds. I buy them from the veg dept in the local Asda already done for you in trays (so much easier!) I dont mind too much about the mess as they really enjoy them.
she
Like Caroline I get the prepared seeds from Asda and I have to say the mess is minimal,Charlie loves them.
Greywings
Try purchasing a cheap shower curtain or a plastic table cloth to make those messy clean ups very easy, just place under the cage and wipe as needed.

I've got a waterproof table cloth under his playstand - but it's the walls, doors and blinds that he manages to spray - perhaps I should just go the whole hog and put his playstand IN the shower cubicle!!! :woohoo:
Greywings
That might be a solution-it does look like a violent murder took place! My Too's are much tidier than Pookie the Grey. More destructive but tidier.
JillyBeanz
You're not wrong there greywings - I have my own Jackson Pollock work of art when Harvey gets soft, coloured fruit!!!
Joolesgreyuk
Yep I swore I'd never again buy fresh pommies for my two but at 10p each I couldn't resist, it was a treat which won't be repeated for a good while. Beau couldn't get enough of his while Argyle completely ignored his. I covered eveything I could think of with newspaper and moved the cages away from the walls & curtains and it seems to have worked. :cheer:
