Dave007
Well, you havn't given much info. 1--where did you get the bird? 2--didn't the person give you any instructions about feeding? 3--di8d the person tell you whether the bird was weaned? Well, greys eat veggies (green), fruit, parrot pellets and parrot mix. Water must always be around the bird. It would be best to give us more info. JillyBeanz
Straight away if he's weaned. Please, please visit the threads on this site (bird food)for the toxic foods for a grey - there are lots of things that you cannot feed your grey that to us are harmless - this thread is a starter for you: http://www.greyforums.net/forums/bird-food/137487-top-10-common-foods-that-can-poison-your-bird.html It is so important you read up on what they can eat - they can become ill so quickly without the appropriate diet. judygram
I have provided a link to a thread on the list of vegetables and fruits you can offer your grey but be sure to check out the bird food room for lots of ideas and suggestions. http://www.greyforums.net/forums/bird-food/59809-complete-veggiefruit-list.html
ramsabi
Scar, please read the "Parrot's Bill of Rights" at the link below: http://www.greyforums.net/forums/the-grey-lounge/59053-a-parrots-bill-of-rights.html Bringing home an African Grey is a huge commitment and it is better to learn as much as possible about them before brining one home. There are many members here who would be able to give you excellent advice.

cf737
Hello scar, please also read all the the "pinned" topics in The Nursery room as well as the Grey Lounge once you've read what the bird needs to be fed. I also would like some more information about the bird, is it a Congo or a Timneh, male or female, what's his/her name? IS he/she weaned? Honestly I'm a tad concerned considering you're not sure what to feed him/her.... Please keep us posted, and welcome.
